Rear Door Glass Weatherstrip Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL LH

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP LH

Rear Door Glass Weatherstrip -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE

  1. Remove the screw and pull handle.



3. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the base panel together with the switch.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the switch connector.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the window regulator switch.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the screw labeled A and clip labeled C.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 9 remaining clips and remove the trim board.

    HINT:
    1. Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. If the screwdriver cannot reach the clips, pull on the lower trim to remove it.
    NOTICE:
    1. The clip labeled C cannot be reused. When installing the trim board, replace clip C.
    2. In order to prevent the door panel from being damaged, use protective tape to cover the areas indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the weatherstrip inner.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


5. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Put protective tape under the weatherstrip.

  1. Using a moulding remover, detach the claws to remove the weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the remover tip before use.
    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the weatherstrip as there are claws attached to the front and rear ends of the weatherstrip.
