Hazard Warning Switch Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER

  3. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL KNOB

  4. REMOVE FRE/REC CONTROL KNOB

  5. REMOVE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Hazard Warning Switch -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY CENTER

HINT:
To prevent the clips from falling, horizontally pull out the panel. Hold both sides of the panel in the locations indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
  1. Remove the screw <C>.

  1. Detach the 6 claws and 4 clips.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure the center registers are not removed.
  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the panel.



3. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL KNOB

  1. Remove the 3 control knobs.



4. REMOVE FRE/REC CONTROL KNOB

  1. Remove the control knob.



5. REMOVE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the switch.
