Thermostat Removal


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER

  4. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET

  5. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING WITH THERMOSTAT

Thermostat -- Removal


HINT:
If the thermostat was not installed, cooling efficiency would be harmed. Even if the engine tends to overheat, do not remove the thermostat.


1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and under cover.



2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT


  1. Remove the radiator cap.

  1. Loosen the 2 cylinder block drain cock plugs and radiator drain cock plug, and then drain the coolant.

    HINT:
    Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.


3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and V-bank cover.



4. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET


5. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING WITH THERMOSTAT

  1. Remove the 3 nuts, water inlet housing with thermostat and gasket.
