Diesel Throttle Body Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE CHARGE AIR COOLER ASSEMBLY WITH INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

  4. REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

Diesel Throttle Body -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and engine cover.



3. REMOVE CHARGE AIR COOLER ASSEMBLY WITH INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

  1. Disconnect the IAT sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the manifold absolute diesel pressure sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

  1. Loosen the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and CAC.



4. REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the throttle control motor connector.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, throttle body and gasket.
