Starter (For Denso Made) Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

Starter (For Denso Made) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Toyota Fortuner RM000002HD2006X.html).


2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SEAL
  1. Remove the 5 clips and seal.



3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the oil dipstick.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and transmission oil filter tube sub-assembly.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the transmission oil filter tube sub-assembly.



4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the starter connector.

  1. Open the terminal cap.

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt, ground cable and starter.
