1. REMOVE OUTPUT SHAFT |

2. REMOVE PLANETARY OUTPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL RING |

4. INSPECT NO. 2 ONE-WAY CLUTCH |

Hold the planetary gear and turn the one-way clutch inner race. Check that the one-way clutch inner race can be turned freely counterclockwise and locks when turned clockwise.
5. REMOVE NO. 2 ONE-WAY CLUTCH |

Remove the inner race from the planetary gear.
Using a screwdriver, pry out the snap ring.

Remove the one-way clutch with the retainers from the planetary gear.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 PLANETARY CARRIER THRUST WASHER |

7. REMOVE NO. 1 PLANETARY CARRIER THRUST WASHER |

8. REMOVE REAR PLANETARY FLANGE THRUST NEEDLE ROLLER BEARING |

Remove the 2 races and bearing from the planetary ring gear.
9. REMOVE REAR PLANETARY RING GEAR FLANGE |

Using a screwdriver, pry out the snap ring.
Remove the ring gear flange.

10. INSPECT PLANETARY PINION GEAR THRUST CLEARANCE |

Using a feeler gauge, measure the thrust clearance.
- Standard clearance:
- 0.20 to 0.60 mm (0.0079 to 0.0236 in.)
- Maximum clearance:
- 0.65 mm (0.0256 in.)
