Vane Pump (For Kd Series Engine) Removal


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  3. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER TO FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER BRACE

  4. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  5. DISCONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  6. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

Vane Pump (For Kd Series Engine) -- Removal



1. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and under cover.



2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
  1. Remove the 4 bolts and under cover.



3. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MEMBER TO FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER BRACE
  1. Remove the 8 bolts and crossmember brace.



4. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID


5. DISCONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

  1. Disengage the clip and disconnect the hose.



6. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50.Power Steering.Vane Pump (For Kd Series Engine).Vane Pump (For Kd Series Engine)  Removal
  1. Using a union nut wrench, remove the union bolt and disconnect the pressure feed tube from the vane pump.

  1. Remove the gasket from the pressure feed tube.



7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and vane pump.

  1. Remove the O-ring.
