Power Door Lock Control System (W/ Theft Deterrent System) -- On-Vehicle Inspection |
1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION |
Check the basic function.
Check the door control switch (for manual operation): 1) pushing the LOCK switch locks all the doors; and 2) pushing the UNLOCK switch unlocks all the doors.
For the driver side door key cylinder unlock function: 1) turning the driver side door key cylinder to the UNLOCK position unlocks the driver side door; and 2) turning it to the UNLOCK position again unlocks the remaining doors.
Check that all doors lock when the driver side door key cylinder is turned to the LOCK position using the key. However, the driver side door key-linked lock and unlock function will not operate when the seat belt is fastened.
Check the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function and ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function.
When all doors are closed and the vehicle is driven at approximately 25 km/h (16 mph) or more for the first time, check that all doors automatically lock.
- HINT:
- The automatic door lock function described above will not operate again until a door has been opened and closed.
After the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function operates, check that turning the ignition switch OFF causes the doors to automatically unlock.
