Clutch Release Cylinder (For 1Gr-Fe) Installation


  1. INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

  2. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO ACCUMULATOR TUBE

  3. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER FLEXIBLE TUBE

  4. INSTALL RELEASE CYLINDER HEAT INSULATOR

  5. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE

  6. CHECK FOR CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE

  7. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

Clutch Release Cylinder (For 1Gr-Fe) -- Installation



1. INSTALL CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Install the clutch release cylinder with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}


2. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO ACCUMULATOR TUBE


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Using SST, connect the flexible tube.

    SST
    09023-00101
    Torque:
    15 N*m{153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}for use without SST
    14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}for use with SST
  1. Install the 2 way with the bolt.

    Torque:
    19 N*m{194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf}


3. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER FLEXIBLE TUBE


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Using SST, install the flexible tube.

    SST
    09023-00101
    Torque:
    15 N*m{153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}for use without SST
    14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}for use with SST
    HINT:
    Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).


4. INSTALL RELEASE CYLINDER HEAT INSULATOR


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Install the insulator with the bolt and nut.

    Torque:
    12 N*m{120 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}


5. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE
  1. Fill the master cylinder reservoir with fluid.

    Torque:
    11 N*m{112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf}
  1. Bleed air from the clutch system.



6. CHECK FOR CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE
  1. Check for clutch fluid leakage (Toyota Fortuner RM000001FSF001X.html).



7. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR
  1. Check the fluid level in the reservoir (Toyota Fortuner RM000001FSF001X_02_0004.html).
