Washer Motor Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  4. DRAIN WASHER FLUID

  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE REAR WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

Washer Motor -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Pull the washer inlet of the washer jar and pump upward. Then remove it from the windshield washer jar and pump.



3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

  1. Partially remove the fender liner.

    HINT:
    It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed in the next step.


4. DRAIN WASHER FLUID
  1. Remove the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump, and drain the washer fluid.



5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the clip and 3 bolts. Then remove the washer jar and pump.



6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Pull out the washer motor and pump from the packing of the washer jar.



7. REMOVE REAR WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Pull out the washer motor and pump from the packing of the washer jar.
