ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated entry system): |
When the room light is set to DOOR and all doors are unlocked, pressing the transmitter UNLOCK switch illuminates the room light for 15 seconds.
The room light turns off when either of the following conditions is met.
- All doors are locked by pressing the transmitter LOCK switch.
- The ignition switch is turned ON.
- All doors are locked by pressing the transmitter LOCK switch.
When any door is opened, the following lights illuminate.
- Combination meter (door indicator light)
- Ignition key cylinder light
- Room light*
- Combination meter (door indicator light)

Dimmer switch control function:
When the headlight dimmer switch is set to the TAIL position, the headlights (clearance light), rear combination light (taillight) and license plate light illuminate.
With the vehicle as stated above, turn the headlight dimmer switch to the HEAD position. Check that the headlights (lo beam) illuminate.*

- *: When the headlights (lo beam) illuminate, the headlights (clearance light) turn off.
When the front fog light switch is turned ON, check that the combination meter (front fog indicator light) and fog lights illuminate.
When the headlight dimmer switch is set to the HI BEAM position, check that the hi beam indicator light and headlights (hi beam) illuminate.
When the ignition switch is ON and the headlight dimmer switch is set to the HI BEAM FLASH position, check that the headlights (hi beam) illuminate. When the dimmer switch is released, check that the headlights (hi beam) turn off.
When the ignition switch is ON and the headlight dimmer switch is set to either TURN position, check that the combination meter (turn indicator lights) and turn signal lights are flashing.
When the hazard warning switch is ON, check that the combination meter (turn indicator lights) and turn signal lights are flashing.
Headlight leveling control function:
The downward angle of the headlights can be adjusted to 5 set positions by rotating the headlight leveling switch between 1 to 5 (0 is the normal headlight position).
Stop switch control function:
With the ignition switch turned ON, check that the center stop light and rear combination light (stop light) turn on when the brake pedal is depressed.
Back-up and PNP switch control function:
With the ignition switch turned ON, check that the rear combination light (back-up light) turns on when the shift lever is moved to R.
