Clutch Master Cylinder Removal


  1. DRAIN CLUTCH FLUID

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

  3. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

  5. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE TUBE

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

Clutch Master Cylinder -- Removal



1. DRAIN CLUTCH FLUID


2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the panel.



3. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
There are 2 types of combination meters. One type has a 40 pin connector and 16 pin connector. The other type only has a 40 pin connector.
  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the combination meter.



4. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

  1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip, slide the clip and disconnect the clutch reservoir hose.

    HINT:
    Use a container to catch the fluid.


5. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE TUBE

  1. Using SST, disconnect the flexible tube.

    SST

    HINT:
    Use a container to catch the fluid.


6. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the clutch pedal.
    For LHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R4006X.html)
    For RHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R4007X.html)

  1. Remove the clutch master cylinder and gasket.
