Clutch Master Cylinder -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY |
Install a new gasket and the clutch master cylinder.
Install the clutch pedal.
For LHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R2007X.html)
For RHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R2008X.html)
| 2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE TUBE |

Using SST, connect the flexible tube.
- SST
- 09023-00101
- Torque:
- 15 N*m{153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf}for use without SST
- 14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}for use with SST
- HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).
| 3. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE |
Connect the clutch reservoir hose with the clip to the clutch master cylinder.
- NOTICE:
- Connect the clutch reservoir hose so that it will not be twisted.
| 4. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |

- NOTICE:
- There are 2 types of combination meters. One type has a 40 pin connector and 16 pin connector. The other type only has a 40 pin connector.
Connect all connectors.
Install the combination meter with the 3 screws.
| 5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL |

Attach the 2 claws to install the panel.
Install the clip.
| 6. BLEED AIR FROM CLUTCH PIPE LINE |
Fill the master cylinder reservoir with fluid.
- Torque:
- 11 N*m{112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf}
Bleed air from the clutch system (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R7004X.html).
| 7. CHECK FOR CLUTCH FLUID LEAKAGE |
Check for clutch fluid leakage (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R7004X.html).
| 8. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY |
Inspect and adjust clutch pedal assembly
For LHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R1007X.html)
For RHD (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R1008X.html)
| 9. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR |
Check fluid level in reservoir (Toyota Fortuner RM0000010R7004X.html).
