Rear Axle Hub Bolt Replacement


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE BRAKE DRUM

  3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

  4. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

  5. INSTALL BRAKE DRUM

  6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Rear Axle Hub Bolt -- Replacement


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL


2. REMOVE BRAKE DRUM


3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

  1. Temporarily install the 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.

  1. Using SST and a brass bar or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, remove the hub bolt.

4. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT


Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50

  1. Install a plate washer and nut to a new hub bolt, as shown in the illustration.

  1. Using a brass bar or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, install the hub bolt by tightening the nut.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts from the hub bolts.



5. INSTALL BRAKE DRUM


6. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque:
105 N*m{1,071 kgf*cm, 77 ft.*lbf}
