REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
Front Seat Assembly (For Separate Seat Type) -- Disassembly |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring and seat cushion frame may injure your hands.
| 1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) |

Detach the clamp.
Detach the wire harness from the clamp.
 |
Remove the nut and seat belt.
Remove the buckle cover.
| 2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) |
 |
Detach the 2 clamps.
Disconnect the connector.
Detach the wire harness from the clamp.
 |
Remove the nut and seat belt.
Remove the buckle cover.
| 3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH |
Remove the 2 screws. Then remove the inner shield in the order indicated in the illustration.
 |
| 4. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster) |
Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the knob.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH |
 |
Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH |
 |
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the rear part of the cushion shield in the order indicated in the illustration to detach the claw and remove the cushion shield.
| 7. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.
 |
| 8. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER |
Remove the 5 hog rings shown in the illustration.
 |
Roll up the seatback cover.
 |
Remove the 2 hog rings shown in the illustration.
Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
 |
Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback spring.
Remove the 6 hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.
 |
| 9. REMOVE SEATBACK SPRING |
| 10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER |
 |
w/ Occupant detection sensor:
Detach the sensor clamp.
Detach the 2 hooks.
Detach the hooks in the hook area shown in the illustration.
Remove the 7 hog rings and seat cushion cover (with pad) from the seat cushion frame.
Remove the 2 front edge protectors.
Remove the 10 hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

| 11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion frame.
 |
| 12. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster) |
Using a screwdriver, disconnect the seat spring from the reclining adjuster arm as shown in the illustration.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Using a screwdriver, spread apart the tabs that hold the spring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the spring.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
 |
Remove the front seat adjuster pin.
Temporarily install the vertical seat adjuster knob.
 |
Turn the knob counterclockwise to move the gear of the vertical adjusting shaft. Move the gear to the position shown in the illustration.
Remove the vertical seat adjuster knob.
Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings as shown in the illustration. Then remove the adjusting shaft.

| 13. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE |
Detach the springs in the order indicated in the illustration. Then remove the handle.
 |
| 14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ROD (w/ Vertical Adjuster) |
Remove the 2 bolts and adjuster rod.
| 15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER LOWER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
w/ Vertical adjuster:
Using a T40 "torx" socket, remove the 2 "torx" bolts and lower arm.

w/o Vertical adjuster:
Remove the 3 bolts and lower arm.
 |
| 16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER LOWER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |

- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
