DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) has an open detection circuit, which stores this DTC when detecting an open in the stop light input line or the ground line of the stop light circuit with the stop light switch off (brake pedal not depressed).DTC Code

| When the IG1 terminal voltage is between 9.5 and 17.4 V, an open in the stop light switch circuit continues for 0.3 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- After replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration (Toyota Fortuner RM000000XHR06WX.html).
- Before disconnecting the connector, make sure that there are no problems with the connection.
- After disconnecting the connector, make sure that the connector case and terminals are not deformed or corroded.
1.CHECK STOP LIGHT OPERATION |
Check that the stop light LH and RH come on when the brake pedal is depressed, and go off when the brake pedal is released.

2.CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL) |
Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turn the ignition switch off.
Start the engine.
Depress the brake pedal.
