Vane Pump (For 5L-E) Disassembly


  1. REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION

  2. REMOVE FLOW CONTROL VALVE

  3. REMOVE VANE PUMP REAR HOUSING

  4. REMOVE VANE PUMP REAR SIDE PLATE

  5. REMOVE VANE PUMP CAM RING

  6. REMOVE VANE PUMP ROTOR

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP SHAFT

  8. REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL

Vane Pump (For 5L-E) -- Disassembly



1. REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION


    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. Remove the bolt and power steering suction port union.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the O-ring from the power steering suction port union.



2. REMOVE FLOW CONTROL VALVE

  1. Remove the pressure port union.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the pressure port union.

  1. Remove the flow control valve and compression spring.



3. REMOVE VANE PUMP REAR HOUSING

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and vane pump rear housing.

  1. Remove the gasket.

  1. Remove the 2 O-rings from the vane pump rear housing.



4. REMOVE VANE PUMP REAR SIDE PLATE
  1. Remove the wave washer from the vane pump rear side plate.

  1. Remove the vane pump rear side plate.



5. REMOVE VANE PUMP CAM RING

  1. Remove the vane pump cam ring.



6. REMOVE VANE PUMP ROTOR
  1. Remove the 10 vane pump plates.

  1. Using 2 screwdrivers, remove the vane pump shaft snap ring from the vane pump shaft.

  1. Remove the vane pump rotor.



7. REMOVE VANE PUMP SHAFT


8. REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the vane pump housing oil seal.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the vane pump front housing.
