DESCRIPTION

Microphone signal from the telephone microphone assembly is sent to the radio and display receiver assembly. Also, power is supplied from the radio and display receiver assembly to the telephone microphone assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK MICROPHONE (OPERATION CHECK)
  1. Enter the "Microphone & Voice Recognition Check" screen (Toyota Fortuner RM0000043X901RX.html).



    Toyota Fortuner. Ggn50, 60 Kun51, 61 Tgn51 Lan50
  1. When voice is input into the microphone, check that the microphone input level meter changes according to the input voice.

    OK:
    Check result is normal.

Go to step 2

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (Toyota Fortuner RM000003YVJ01BX.html)

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER - MAP LIGHT)
  1. Disconnect the R19 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

  1. Disconnect the M4 map light assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

  1. Replace the telephone microphone with a normal one (Toyota Fortuner RM000002LJJ02AX.html).

  1. Check if the same problem occurs again.

    OK:
    Malfunction disappears.
