REAR WIPER MOTOR - INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Rear Wiper Motor - Inspection. WIPER / WASHER. Land Cruiser URJ200 URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

Check the wiper operation.

Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

  • OK:
  • Measurement ConditionSpecified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (LS) and Terminal 5 (E)    		Motor operates continuously

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.


Check the INT operation.

Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

  • OK:
  • Measurement ConditionSpecified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (C1) and Terminal 5 (E)    		Motor operates intermittently

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.


Check the rear washer linked operation.

Apply battery voltage to the rear wiper motor and check the rear wiper motor operation.

  • OK:
  • Measurement ConditionSpecified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B)
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (W) and Terminal 5 (E)    		Motor operates

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.


Check the automatic stop position operation.

Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 4 (B), and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3 (LS) and terminal 5 (E). With the motor rotating, disconnect terminal 3 (LS) to stop the wiper motor operation at any position other than the matchmark.

Check that the motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

  • OK:
  • Motor stops automatically at the matchmark.

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear wiper motor assembly.
