REAR BUMPER (for Double Swing Out Type) - REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

Attach the 4 claws to install the rear No. 2 step cover.

Install the 2 screws and 2 clips.

2. INSTALL REAR LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

Install the rear lower bumper cover with the clip.

3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Pintle Hook)

Attach the 10 claws to install the rear No. 2 step cover.

4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH
  • HINT:
  • When installing the rear bumper pad, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.
  • Standard:
  • ItemTemperature
    Rear Bumper Cover20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
  • NOTICE:
  • Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

When using a new rear bumper cover:

Clean the surface of a new rear bumper cover.

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

When reusing the rear bumper cover:

Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new rear bumper pad.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new rear bumper pad.

  • HINT:
  • After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

Align the rear bumper pad with the mark-off line of the rear bumper.

Install the rear bumper pad.

5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH
  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
6. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

Attach the claw to install the back-up light assembly LH.

Install the 2 nuts.

7. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

Attach the 3 claws to install the rear bumper No. 2 side bracket.

9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 3 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

Install the rear bumper No. 3 side bracket with the 2 screws.

10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER LH

Attach the 4 claws to install the rear bumper upper cover.

11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH
  • HINT:
  • Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

Attach the 8 claws to install the rear bumper energy absorber.

13. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME WIRE

Attach the 13 clamps to install the No. 2 frame wire.

Connect the 2 connectors.
