FRONT ACCELERATION SENSOR - INSTALLATION
| 1. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR (for Driver Side) |
Install the sensor with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the connector.
| 2. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side) |
Install the sensor with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the connector.
| 3. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK (for LHD) |
Vehicle front side:
Connect the 5 connectors.
Vehicle rear side:
Install the steering control ECU with junction block to the vehicle with the 2 bolts and nut .
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Attach the 2 clamps.
Connect the 7 connectors.
| 4. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK (for RHD) |
Vehicle front side:
Connect the 3 connectors.
Vehicle rear side:
Install the steering control ECU with junction block to the vehicle with the bolt and 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}
Connect the 2 connectors.
| 5. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL |
Connect the connector.
Attach the 3 claws to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.
Install the 4 bolts.
| 6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR KNOB |
Attach the 2 claws to install the instrument panel box door knob.
| 7. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH |
Attach the 6 claws to install the No. 3 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
| 8. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL (w/o Passenger Side Knee Airbag) |
Attach the 4 claws to install the lower instrument panel.
Install the 2 bolts.
| 9. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Passenger Side Knee Airbag) |
Connect the connector.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Attach the 4 claws to install the front passenger side knee airbag.
Install the 4 bolts.
- Torque:
- 10 N*m{ 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}
| 10. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH |
Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
Install the cap nut.
| 11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover) |
Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover.
| 12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
| 13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch) |
Connect the connector.
Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument side panel.
| 14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch) |
Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument side panel.
| 15. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag) |
Attach the 2 claws and connect the DLC3.
Install the lower instrument panel with the 5 bolts.
| 16. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag) |
Connect the connector.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Install the driver side knee airbag with the 5 bolts.
- Torque:
- 10 N*m{ 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}
| 17. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE |
Connect the connectors.
Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.
| 18. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL |
Connect the connectors.
for Automatic Air Conditioning System:
Attach the 2 claws to install the room temperature sensor.
Attach the 2 claws to connect the 2 control cables.
w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag:
Attach the 16 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.
Install the 2 bolts.
w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag:
Attach the 9 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.
Install the 2 bolts.
Attach the 2 claws to close the hole cover.
| 19. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH |
Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
Install the cap nut.
| 20. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover) |
Connect the connectors.
Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover.
Install the 2 screws.
| 21. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH |
Attach the 7 claws and 4 clips to install the scuff plate.
| 22. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH |
Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument side panel.
| 25. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Connect the connectors.
Attach the 7 claws to install the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
| 26. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
Attach the 7 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.
Install the clip and screw.
| 27. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION |
Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.
| 28. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Connect the connectors and attach the 2 clamps.
Attach the 8 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.
Install the clip and screw.
| 29. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION |
Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.
| 30. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected ().

Check the SRS warning light ().
