DTC P1607 Cruise Control Input Processor

Description DTC P1607

The ECM continuously monitors its main and sub CPUs. This self-check ensures that the ECM is functioning properly. If outputs from the CPUs are different and deviate from the standard, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC immediately.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P1607 When either condition below is met:
  1. An ECM main CPU error.
  2. An ECM sub CPU error.

Inspection procedure

1.CHECK DTC

  1. Clear DTCs .

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

  1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Check for DTCs.

    OK:

    P1607 is not present.

  NG  
REPLACE ECM
