  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL HOSE

  4. REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL HOSE

  6. REMOVE FUEL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  1. Detach the 4 clips and remove the engine cover.

    ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
    1. Lift the area around the clips on the top of the engine cover.
    2. Do not suddenly lift the engine cover. Remove the cover slowly by detaching the clips on by one.
    3. Lift area A shown in the illustration particularly slowly because there is a cowl on the top of the area around A. Failure to do so may damage the cover.


2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the intake air flow meter connector (*1).

  1. Disengage the 4 air cleaner cap clamps (*2).

  1. Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps (*3).

  1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the PCV hose from the cylinder head cover (*4).

  1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip to remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly (*5).

  1. Remove the air filter element.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.



3. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL HOSE

  1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 clips and slide the 2 clips to remove the No. 3 fuel hose.



4. REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the exhaust fuel addition injector connector.

  1. Turn the retainer as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disconnect the fuel tube from the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly connector.

    ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
    Do not bend the fuel tube.

  1. Remove the union bolt, gasket and fuel tube.



5. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL HOSE

  1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the 2 clips and slide the 2 clips to remove the No. 1 fuel hose.



6. REMOVE FUEL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ:
After removing the fuel inlet pipe, cover the common rail and fuel supply pump with electrical tape to prevent dirt from being introduced.

  1. Remove the nut and fuel inlet pipe clamps.

  1. Using SST, remove the fuel inlet pipe.

7. REMOVE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the suction control valve assembly connector.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts to remove the injection or supply pump assembly, O-ring and supply pump drive coupling from the cylinder head.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the injection or supply pump.
