DESCRIPTION
The ECM controls the internal fuel pressure of the common rail by using the supply pump and pressure control valve.| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
| P0191 | After certain period of time has elapsed after engine stop (pressure control valve releases common rail internal pressure during this period), common rail internal pressure deviates from normal range. (Determination of a malfunction is conducted within a given time after the ignition switch is turned from the ON position (IG) to off. If a malfunction is detected within this time, the MIL is illuminated and a DTC is set when the ignition switch is next turned to the ON position) |

- DTC P0191 is set when the engine idles for 30 seconds after the ignition switch was turned off.

- Read freeze frame data using an intelligent tester. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can be helpful in determining whether the vehicle was running or stopped, whether the engine was warmed up or not, whether the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, as well as other data recorded at the time of a malfunction.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Turn the tester on.
Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.
Read the DTCs.
- Result:
Result Proceed to DTC P0191 is output A DTC P0191 and other DTCs are output B
- УКАЗАНИЕ:
- If any DTCs other than P0191 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
