DTC 35 Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The manifold absolute pressure sensor generates voltage according to the pressure value as shown in the illustration. The voltage of the manifold absolute pressure sensor is one of the factors used to determine the injection volume and injection timing.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

УКАЗАНИЕ:
  1. If DTCs related to different systems that have terminal E2 as the ground terminal are stored simultaneously, there may be an open circuit between terminal E2 and body ground.
  2. Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

When using intelligent tester:

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (INTAKE MANIFOLD PRESSURE)
  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / PIM.

    OK:
    Value is same as atmospheric pressure.

    When DTC 35 is stored, the type of malfunction can be determined based on the manifold absolute pressure (see below).
