Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
| Switch Condition | Tester Connection | Specified Condition |
| Pattern select switch (PWR) | 3 - 7 | Below 1 Ω |
| Pattern select switch (NORM) | 3 - 7 | 10 kΩ or higher |
| Press continuously Pattern select switch (SNOW) | 1 - 3 | Below 1 Ω |
| Release Pattern select switch (SNOW) | 1 - 3 | 10 kΩ or higher |
If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch.
