DTC B2001 Short to GND in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The seat belt control ECU receives information from the distance control ECU using CAN communication and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor in the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
- CAUTION:
- The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, INITIALIZATION must be performed .
1.INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH |

Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher P8-2 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Disconnect the O38 connector of the seat belt control ECU.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P8-1 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher P8-2 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher P8-1 - P8-2 Always 1 MΩ or higher
