VACUUM PUMP (for 2AD-FHV) - INSTALLATION
| 1. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY |
Apply engine oil to the oil pipe at the tip of the vacuum pump assembly.
Coat 2 new O-rings with engine oil, and install them to the vacuum pump assembly.
Install the vacuum pump assembly so that coupling teeth "A" of the vacuum pump assembly and the groove of camshaft "B" can engage.
Install the vacuum pump with 3 new bolts.
- Torque:
- 21 N*m{ 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf}
| 2. INSTALL UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE |
Install the vacuum hose and attach the 2 clips.
Install the vacuum hose assembly with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 9.0 N*m{ 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf}
Connect the 3 hoses.
| 3. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS |
Connect the 6 connectors.
Engage the 4 clamps.
Install the wire harness with the 3 nuts.
| 4. INSTALL AIR DUCT |
Install the air duct with the clip and clamp.
| 5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY |
- HINT:
| 6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET |
Install the inlet air cleaner with the bolt and clip.
- Torque:
- 5.0 N*m{ 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}
| 7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER |
Install the No. 1 engine cover.
| 8. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH |
- HINT:
- Install the RH side following the same procedure as for the LH side.
| 9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH |
Install the side cover with the 4 clips.
| 10. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL |
Install the intake duct seal with the 11 clips.
| 11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
| 12. VACUUM PUMP OPERATION |
| 13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION |
Perform initialization .
- HINT:
- Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
