1. INSPECT STOP LIGHT CONTROL RELAY
Stop Light Control Relay (For Automatic Transmission) - On-Vehicle Inspection. BRAKE CONTROL. Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20

Remove the stop light control relay.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard resistance:
  • Tester ConnectionSpecified Condition
    1 - 2Bellow 1 Ω
    3 - 4Below 1 Ω
    (When battery voltage is not applied between terminals)
    3 - 510 kΩ or higher
    (When battery voltage is not applied between terminals)
    3 - 410 kΩ or higher
    (When battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2)
    3 - 5Below 1 Ω
    (When battery voltage is applied between terminals 1 and 2)

If the value is not as specified, replace the stop light control relay.
