WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY - ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY (for 4GR-FSE)

Measure the resistance of the windshield deicer relay.

  • Standard:
  • Tester ConditionSpecified Condition
    3 - 510 kΩ or higher
    (when battery voltage is not applied between terminals)
    3 -5 Below 1 Ω
    (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
  • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY (for 2AD-FHV)

Measure the resistance of the windshield deicer relay.

  • Standard:
  • Tester ConditionSpecified Condition
    3 - 510 kΩ or higher
    (when battery voltage is not applied between terminals)
    3 -5 Below 1 Ω
    (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
  • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
