Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20 - LIGHTING

REGISTER ILLUMINATION - INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REGISTER ILLUMINATION (LH Side)
Register Illumination - Inspection. LIGHTING. Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20

Disconnect the connector from the register.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard voltage:
  • Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    J11-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch ON10 to 14 V
    J11-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch OFFBelow 1 V

If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.


Register Illumination - Inspection. LIGHTING. Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20

Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1.

Check that the register illumination comes on.

  • OK:
  • Comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the register illumination.


2. INSPECT REGISTER ILLUMINATION (RH Side)

Disconnect the connector from the register.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard voltage:
  • Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    J73-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch ON10 to 14 V
    J73-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch OFFBelow 1 V

If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 1.

Check that the register illumination comes on.

  • OK:
  • Comes on

If the result is not as specified, replace the register illumination.


3. INSPECT REGISTER ILLUMINATION (Center)

Disconnect the connector from the register.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard voltage:
  • LH Side:

    J33-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch ON10 to 14 V
    J33-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch OFFBelow 1 V
  • RH Side:
  • Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    J32-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch ON10 to 14 V
    J32-2 (ILL+) - Body groundDimmer switch OFFBelow 1 V

If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
