METER / GAUGE SYSTEM - FAIL-SAFE CHART
FUEL SIGNAL (FUEL INJECTION SIGNAL):| Condition | Response | Recovery |
| While the engine switch is on (IG), fuel injection signal is interrupted for 60 seconds. | Fuel gauge calibration is performed using average fuel consumption data. | Engine switch off and then on (IG) and normal data is received. |
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE:| Condition | Response | Recovery |
| Engine coolant temperature data is interrupted for 5 seconds. | The gauge needle indicates less than "C". | Engine coolant temperature data is received. |
SHIFT INDICATOR (*1):| Condition | Response | Recovery |
| "P" to "D" data is interrupted for 3 seconds. | All indicator lights go off. | Normal data is received. |
| A/T range data is interrupted for 3 seconds, or more than 2 items are received simultaneously. | The A/T range indicator light and backlight LED goes off. | Normal data is received. |
