Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

Remove the 8 bolts and the flywheel.
| 4. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) |
Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

Remove the 8 bolts, front spacer, drive plate and rear spacer.
| 5. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL |
Using a knife, cut through the oil seal lip.
Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the oil seal.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- NOTICE:
- After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
