Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20 2AD-FHV STARTING
STARTER - DISASSEMBLY
| 1. REMOVE REPAIR SERVICE STARTER KIT |
Remove the nut, and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.
Remove the 3 nuts and repair service starter kit from the starter drive housing.
Remove the return spring.
Pull the plunger, and disconnect the plunger hook from the upper side of the starter pinion drive lever.
| 2. REMOVE STARTER DRIVE HOUSING ASSEMBLY |
Using a "torx" wrench (T25), remove the 2 bolts.
Using a screwdriver, remove the rubber seal from the starter pinion drive lever.
Remove the starter drive housing from the starter pinion drive lever.
Pull out the yoke together with the armature.
| 3. REMOVE STARTER COMMUTATOR END FRAME ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 screws and starter commutator end frame.
| 4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY |
Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush from the brush holder.
Disconnect the 4 brushes, and remove the brush holder.
Remove the starter armature from the yoke.
| 5. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE PLATE |
Remove the starter armature plate from the starter center bearing clutch.
| 6. REMOVE PLANETARY GEAR |
Remove the 3 planetary gears.
