FUEL SUPPLY PUMP - REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE

3. REMOVE NO. 5 FUEL HOSE

Using pliers, slide the clip to remove the No. 5 fuel hose.

4. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR

6. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL HOSE

Using pliers, slide the 2 clips to remove the No. 3 fuel hose.

7. REMOVE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the exhaust fuel addition injector connector.

Turn the retainer as shown in the illustration.

Disconnect the fuel tube from the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly connector.

Remove the union bolt, gasket and fuel tube.

8. REMOVE FUEL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

After removing the fuel inlet pipe, cover the common rail and supply pump with electrical tape to prevent the entry of dirt.

Remove the nut and 2 fuel pipe clamps.

Using the SST, remove the 2 fuel inlet pipes.

9. REMOVE SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the suction control valve connector.

Remove the 3 bolts and the No. 1 injection pump protector.

Remove the 2 bolts to remove the supply pump assembly, O-ring and supply pump drive coupling from the cylinder head.

Remove the O-ring from the supply pump.
