Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20 2AD-FHV ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM

ECD SYSTEM - CHECK MODE PROCEDURE

  • HINT:
  • Check mode has a higher sensitivity to malfunctions and can detect malfunctions that normal mode cannot detect. Check mode can also detect the same malfunctions that normal mode can detect.
  • In check mode, the ECM will detect faults and set DTCs more effectively than in normal mode.
  • NOTICE:
  • All the stored DTCs and freeze frame data are erased if: 1) the ECM is changed from normal mode to check mode or vice versa; or 2) the engine switch is turned from ON (IG) to ACC or OFF during check mode.
  • Before changing modes, always check and note any stored DTCs and freeze frame data.
