EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSPECTION
| 1. INSPECT EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (UPPER) |
Inspect the resistance.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Terminals Condition Resistance 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 214.8 kΩ
- HINT:
- The temperature indicated in "Condition" is the temperature of the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the exhaust gas temperature sensor (upper).
| 2. INSPECT EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (LOWER) |
Inspect the resistance.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Terminals Condition Resistance 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 214.8 kΩ
- HINT:
- The temperature indicated in "Condition" is the temperature of the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the exhaust gas temperature sensor (lower).
