EGR COOLER - REMOVAL
| 1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL |
Remove the 11 clips and intake duct seal.
| 2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH |
Remove the 2 clips and side cover.
| 3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER |
Remove the No. 1 engine cover.
| 4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET |
Remove the bolt, clip and inlet air cleaner.
| 5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT |
- CAUTION:
- Do not remove the radiator cap while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.
Remove the radiator cap.
Loosen the radiator drain cock plug and cylinder block drain cock plug. Then drain the coolant.
- HINT:
- Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to local regulations.

| 7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY |
- HINT:
| 8. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY |
- HINT:
| 9. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the No. 2 EGR valve.
Remove the 4 bolts (*1).
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, EGR cooler assembly and 2 gaskets (*2).
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Separate the No. 1 EGR pipe, No. 2 EGR valve assembly, EGR cooler, O-ring and 2 gaskets.
