COOLING FAN RELAY - ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
| 1. INSPECT COOLING FAN RELAY |
Remove the cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
Measure the resistance of the cooling fan relay.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 MΩ or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
(when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan relay.
Install the cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 1 relay block.
| 2. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN RELAY |
Remove the No. 2 cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 4 Below 1 Ω 3 - 5 10 MΩ or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
(when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 cooling fan relay.
Install the No. 2 cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 2 relay block.
| 3. INSPECT NO. 3 COOLING FAN RELAY |
Remove the No. 3 cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
Measure the resistance of the No. 3 cooling fan relay.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 MΩ or higher 3 - 5 Below 1 Ω
(when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 3 cooling fan relay.
Install the No. 3 cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 1 relay block.
