DTC P0606 ECM / PCM Processor
Monitor description
The ECM continuously monitors its main and sub CPUs. This self-check ensures that the ECM is functioning properly. If outputs from the CPUs are different and deviate from the standards, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and set the DTC immediately.

Confirmation driving pattern
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more.
Inspection procedure
NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work .

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

Turn the tester on.

Clear the DTCs .

Turn the tester off.
-
Turn the power switch off.
-
Disconnect the tester.
-
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

Connect the tester to the DLC3.
-
Turn the power switch on (IG).
-
Wait 16 seconds or more.
-
Turn the tester on.
-
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.
-
Read the DTCs.
