DTC C1AA8 Front Camera Module Incorrect Axial Gap

DTC C1AA9 Front Camera Module Beam Axis Not Adjusted


DESCRIPTION

If the forward recognition camera determines that the forward recognition camera axis has deviated, DTC C1AA8 is stored. Also, if the camera sensor optical axis learning is not performed after installing the forward recognition camera, DTC C1AA9 is stored.

While the engine switch is on (IG), the forward recognition camera detects that forward recognition camera adjustment has not been completed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  2. If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust (Click here).
1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ROAD SIGN ASSIST SYSTEM)

  1. Check if the stored DTCs are current DTCs.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Road Sign Assist / Trouble Codes.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

2.CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

  1. Check the operating conditions of the vehicle.

    HINT:
    DTC C1AA8 may be stored if the forward recognition camera optical axis is temporarily misaligned due to the vehicle being overloaded.

3.CHECK WHEEL ALIGNMENT

  1. Check the front wheel alignment (toe) (Click here).

    HINT:
    DTC C1AA8 may be stored if the forward recognition camera optical axis is misaligned due to incorrect wheel alignment (toe).

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Road Sign Assist / Trouble Codes.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

    HINT:
    If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs related to forward recognition camera.

    HINT:
    If only history DTCs are stored, they may have stored due to a temporarily condition such as overloading of the vehicle, and the system returned to normal when optical axis learning was performed.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).
