DESCRIPTION

When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one, the new forward recognition camera attempts to store the vehicle information received from the ECM. If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from that stored in the ECM, DTC C1AAC is stored.

2 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG), the vehicle information received from the ECM and that stored in the forward recognition camera do not match.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  2. If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform forward recognition camera learning (Click here).
HINT:
This DTC is stored when the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera and that stored in the ECM do not match. If the forward recognition camera or ECM has been replaced, check if a forward recognition camera or ECM from another vehicle was used.
1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION DTC OUTPUT)
HINT:
The forward recognition camera communicates with the ECM via CAN communication. Confirm that the CAN communication system is functioning normally before proceeding.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

2.READ VALUE USING GTS

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Data List.

HINT:
  1. The vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is displayed on the Data List.
  2. If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from the actual vehicle specifications, the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera may be incorrect. Check for DTCs and replace the forward recognition camera if necessary.
  3. If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera matches the actual vehicle specifications, the installed ECM is incompatible. Replace the ECM with a correct one.

3.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM)

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

    HINT:
    If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.
    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait 2 seconds or more.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).
