INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System (Click here).
  2. For reference, "Wi-Fi" sensitivity displays approximately 4 bars when downloading a map update, etc., and 3 bars when performing G-BOOK communication.
1.CHECK "Wi-Fi" CONNECTION SETTING
  1. Check that the following "Wi-Fi" connection setting conditions are met.

    1. "Wi-Fi" connection setting is turned on
    2. Communication setting is set to "Wi-Fi"

    "Wi-Fi" connection can be established.
    A
    "Wi-Fi" connection cannot be established.
    B

    HINT:
    1. As there may be wave interference, disconnect other "Wi-Fi" compatible devices or "Bluetooth" compatible devices before establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection.
    2. A "Wi-Fi" connection can be established manually or automatically.
    3. There are 3 ways to establish a manual connection: Connecting using simple setting, connecting by searching for a "Wi-Fi" access point and inputting a password, and connecting by inputting an SSID and password.
    4. Even though an automatic connection is enabled, a connection can be established only when a "Wi-Fi" access point with the same SSID and password that were used for a previous connection exists.
    5. It may not be possible to establish a "Wi-Fi" connection in a region other than the region where the vehicle was purchased.

    Result
    Proceed to
    "Wi-Fi" connection can be established.
    A
    "Wi-Fi" connection cannot be established.
    B

    HINT:
    1. Considering the radio wave environment around the vehicle, move the vehicle and establish a "Wi-Fi" connection.
    2. Depending on the portable device, operation by the customer (Internet sharing, tethering settings, etc.) may be required each time a "Wi-Fi" connection is established.

B
Go to step 4
A

5.CHECK WAVE INTERFERENCE
  1. Check the wave interference while a "Wi-Fi" connection is established.

    1. Using the GTS, check "Wi-Fi" Connection History" and proceed to the following step (Click here).

      Result
      Result
      Proceed to
"Received Signal Strength" is "-71dBm" or less.
      A
"Data Rate" is "10Mbps" or less.
"Packet Error Rate" is "5%" or more.
      None of the above.

Go to step 6
A

ESTABLISH "Wi-Fi" CONNECTION IN AREA WITH LITTLE WAVE INTERFERENCE

6.DETERMINE CAUSE OF "Wi-Fi" CONNECTION FAILURE
  1. Determine the cause of "Wi-Fi" connection failure.

    1. Using the GTS, check ""Wi-Fi" Connection History" and proceed to the following step (Click here).
