Back Door Garnish (For Double Swing Out Type) -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM |
- HINT:
- When removing the symbol emblem, heat the vehicle body and symbol emblem using a heat light.
- Standard:
Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body or symbol emblem excessively.
Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.
- HINT:
- Be careful of the boss positions.
Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Remove the symbol emblem.

Remove the back door outside garnish protector.

Remove the 3 screws and back door outside garnish from the back door No. 2 outside garnish.

| 4. REMOVE REAR LICENSE LIGHT COVER |
Detach the 9 claws and remove the rear license light cover from the back door outside garnish.
 |
| 5. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 screws.
 |
Detach the 2 guides and remove the 2 license plate light assemblies.
