Wiper Switch -- On-Vehicle Inspection |
1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LHD, for RHD LH Side) |
w/o Rain Sensor
Check the front wiper intermittent operation.Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal E16-3 (+1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal E15-4 (EW).
Text in Illustration *a Component with harness connected
(Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly)Turn the wiper switch to the INT position.
Operate the intermittent wiper relay and check the voltage between terminals E16-3 (+1) and E15-4 (EW).
- OK:
- Voltage changes as shown in the illustration.
If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
Check the front washer operation.
Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal E15-7 (WF) and a negative (-) lead to terminal E15-4 (EW).
