INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

1. Remove the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly (Click here).
   

2. Inspect the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly (Click here)
   

1. Disconnect the E170 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the E164 driving support ECU assembly connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E170-8 (ECU) - E164-5 (PBSW)	Pre-crash system cancel switch assembly off	10k Ω or higher
   	Pre-crash system cancel switch assembly on	Below 1 Ω

1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly with a new or known good one (Click here)
   

2. The pre-crash system cancel switch assembly is turned off.
   

3. Check the PCS indicator light in the combination meter assembly.
   

   OK:

   The PCS indicator light will illuminate.
