DTC C1A47 Steering Angle Sensor


DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives steering angle information from the steering sensor. If the driving support ECU assembly detects a steering sensor malfunction, DTC C1A47 is stored.

While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (31 mph) or more, the driving support ECU assembly receives a steering sensor malfunction signal continuously for 1 second or more.
  1. Vehicle stability control system
  2. Driving support ECU assembly
  3. Master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
  2. First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

  3. After replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point calibration and store the system information (Click here).
1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VSC SYSTEM)
  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.

  1. Check for vehicle stability control system DTCs (Click here).

HINT:
If the steering sensor is malfunctioning, DTCs for the vehicle stability control system will be stored. Troubleshoot the vehicle stability control system first.

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM)
  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Trouble Codes.

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) or more.

    HINT:
    If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).
