DESCRIPTION
This DTC is stored when there is a problem with the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis adjustment.| DTC Code | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
| P1572 | The vehicle speed is 50 km/h (30 mph) or more with the cruise control main switch on (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) and the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis is misaligned (0.15 seconds. or more). | Millimeter wave radar sensor |
- HINT:
- If the beam axis deviates vertically by +/-2° or more and/or horizontally by +/-4° or more at a distance of 4.0 to 6.0 m (13 to 20 ft), this DTC is stored.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- When the millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed (Click here).

Refer to the adjustment (Click here).
- HINT:
- It is necessary to make the ECM recognize specification information (whether the vehicle is equipped with the dynamic radar or not). If this procedure has not been carried out, this DTC may be output.

Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Code.
Clear the DTCs (Click here).
Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.
- HINT:
- If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more.
Turn the cruise control main switch on to set the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode to the standby state.
Check for DTCs (Click here).
- OK:
- DTC P1572 is not output.
