Rear Seatback Heater (For 60/40 Split Seat Type 60 Side) -- Removal |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
| 1. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the rear No. 1 seat assembly (Click here).
| 2. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER BOLT COVER |
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH |
 |
Remove the screw and release handle.
| 4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH |
 |
Remove the 2 screws.
Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the cover.
| 5. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER RH |
 |
Remove the 2 screws.
Detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.
| 6. REMOVE UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER LH |
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 7. REMOVE UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER RH |
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 8. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LEG SIDE COVER |
Remove the 4 screws and detach the 4 claws.
 |
Remove the bolt that is securing the fold seat stopper band and remove the seat leg side cover together with the fold seat stopper band.
 |
| 9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT PROTECTOR |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the claw and remove the wire harness connector.
 |
w/ Seat Heater System:
Detach the claw and remove the wire harness connector.
Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
 |
Detach the claw and remove the seat protector from the seat hinge.
Detach the 2 claws, open the protector and remove wire harness.
| 10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the wire harness clamp.
 |
w/ Seat Heater System:
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Remove the 2 nuts and hinge.
Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable.
 |
| 11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |

Remove the 2 nuts and hinge.
| 12. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP |
Detach the claw and open the cap.
 |
Remove the screw and anchor cover cap.
 |
| 13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK STAY COVER LH |
 |
Remove the screw.
Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
| 14. REMOVE REAR UNDER SIDE COVER LH |
Detach the 10 claws.
 |
Remove the 5 screws.
 |
Detach the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the cover.
| 15. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER RH |
 |
Remove the 4 screws.
Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
| 16. REMOVE REAR SEAT UNDER TRAY COVER LH |
Detach the 10 claws.

Remove the 5 screws.
|
Detach the 2 clips and 2 claws, and remove the cover.
| 17. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH |
 |
Remove the bolt and belt.
- HINT:
- The No. 1 seat 3 point type belt anchor is fixed with the same bolt as the rear No. 1 seat inner belt LH. Therefore, it becomes disconnected when the bolt is removed.
| 18. DISCONNECT NO. 1 SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH |

Disconnect the belt anchor.
| 19. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the side airbag wire harness clamps.
Remove the side airbag wire harness through the hole in the seat cushion.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Disconnect the 2 seat heater connectors.
Remove the seatback heater wire harness through the hole in the seat cushion.
Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.
| 20. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER |

Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the cover.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 21. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
 |
w/ Center Armrest:
Detach the 2 claws on the top of the board.
Pull up the board to detach the 2 claws on the bottom of the board and remove it.
w/o Center Armrest:
Detach the 3 claws on the top of the board.
Pull up the board to detach the 3 claws on the bottom of the board and remove it.

| 22. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
| 23. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY |
w/ Center Armrest:
Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 supports.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Attach the 8 claws to install the 4 supports.
 |
| 24. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
| 25. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT HOLE COVER LH |
 |
Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.
Install the screw.
| 26. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD |
Install the seatback cover with pad.
w/ Center Armrest:
Pull out the seat belt.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Pull out the seat belt.
 |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Pass the side airbag wire harness through the hole in the seatback.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Pass the seatback heater wire harness through the hole in the seatback.
Connect the seatback heater wire harness and install a new cable tie.
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the cap nut.- Torque:
- 5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

w/ Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seatback frame.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seatback frame.
 |
| 27. REMOVE REAR SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.
 |
w/ Center Armrest:
Remove the hog rings and rear seatback cover.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Remove the hog rings and rear seatback cover.
 |
| 28. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY |
 |
Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.
