Rear Seatback Heater (For 60/40 Split Seat Type 60 Side) -- Installation |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
| 1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY |
Set the rear seatback heater assembly onto the rear separate type seatback cover so that the name stamp is facing the rear seatback pad LH.
 |
Install the seatback heater with new tack pins.
| 2. INSTALL REAR SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER |
w/ Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover with new hog rings.- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover with new hog rings.- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
 |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Connect the seatback cover bracket to the seatback pad.
 |
| 3. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD |
Install the seatback cover with pad.
w/ Center Armrest:
Pull out the seat belt.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Pull out the seat belt.
 |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Pass the side airbag wire harness through the hole in the seatback.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Pass the seatback heater wire harness through the hole in the seatback.
Connect the seatback heater wire harness and install a new cable tie.
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the cap nut.- Torque:
- 5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

w/ Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seatback frame.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Using hog ring pliers, install new hog rings to the seatback frame.
 |
| 4. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT HOLE COVER LH |
 |
Install the seat belt as shown in the illustration.
Attach the 3 claws to install the shoulder belt hole cover.
 |
| 5. INSTALL SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
| 6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY |
w/ Center Armrest:
Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 supports.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Attach the 8 claws to install the 4 supports.
 |
| 7. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
| 8. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
w/ Center Armrest:
Push the board down to attach the 2 claws on the bottom.
Attach the 2 claws on the top of the board to install it.
 |
w/o Center Armrest:
Push the board down to attach the 3 claws on the bottom.
Attach the 3 claws on the top of the board to install it.
 |
| 9. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER |
 |
Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.
| 10. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD |
Install the seat cushion cover with pad.
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Pass the side airbag wire harness through the hole in the seat cushion.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Pass the seatback heater wire harness through the hole in the seat cushion.
Connect the 2 seat heater connectors.
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Attach the side airbag wire harness clamps.
| 11. CONNECT NO. 1 SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH |

Connect the belt anchor.
- NOTICE:
- Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.
| 12. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH |
 |
Install the belt with the bolt.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
- NOTICE:
- Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.
- HINT:
- The No. 1 seat 3 point type belt anchor is fixed with the same bolt as the rear No. 1 seat inner belt LH. Therefore, connect it when installing the rear No. 1 seat inner belt LH.
| 13. INSTALL REAR SEAT UNDER TRAY COVER LH |
 |
Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.
Install the 2 screws.
| 14. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER RH |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
Install the 4 screws.
| 15. INSTALL REAR UNDER SIDE COVER LH |
|
Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.
Install the 2 screws.
| 16. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK STAY COVER LH |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
Install the screw.
| 17. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP |
Install the anchor cover cap with the screw.
 |
Attach the claw to close the cap.
 |
| 18. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
 |
Install the hinge with the 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
| 19. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Attach the cable clamp to connect the cable.
 |
Install the hinge with the 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}
 |
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Attach the wire harness clamp.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Attach the wire harness clamp.
| 20. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT PROTECTOR |
Install the wire harness, and attach 2 claws to close the protector.
Attach the claw to install the protector to the seat hinge.
 |
Install the clip.
w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:
Attach the claw to install the wire harness connector.
 |
w/ Seat Heater System:
Attach the claw to install the wire harness connector.
| 21. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT LEG SIDE COVER |
Pass the fold seat stopper band through the seat leg side cover and attach it to the seat cushion frame with the bolt.
 |
Attach the 4 claws to install the seat leg side cover.
 |
Install the 4 screws.
| 22. INSTALL UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER RH |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
| 23. INSTALL UPPER SEAT TRACK RAIL COVER LH |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
| 24. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER RH |
 |
Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.
Install the 2 screws.
| 25. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH |
 |
Attach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration to install the cover.
Install the 2 screws.
| 26. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH |
 |
Install the release handle with the screw.
| 27. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER BOLT COVER |
 |
Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.
| 28. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
